GT Hawk tach question?

First check the wire at the coil. If that seems okay then check to make sure that the tach has a ground wire going directly from the metal tach housing in the dash to a good ground behind the dash. There is a terminal on the tach for this and it should have a white wire there to do the job. I know this seems redundant as there is another ground in the wires that go to the tach, but it cured mine of this same problem.

GT Hawk tach question?
In a 63 GT Hawk, the factory tach just bounces up and down from 0 to maybe 1000 no matter what the engine speed. Any suggestions on what to check?
