  • Coil spring question, also motor mounts needed

Hello everybody, quick question..have a pair of 64 v8 Lark coil springs to put in my 62..Does it matter which end is up when they are installed? Is there a true top and bottom, or can you just put them in either way? Also..I need a set of motor mounts to switch my 6 cyl over to a chevy v8. does anyone have a pair from a 65 or 66 for sale? Thanks!!

If the mounts you need are parts # 1564698 and 1564701 Studebaker International has them.

The only Stude springs that care what way you put them in are the progressive rate springs, they have tighter wound coils on the bottoms.
