He's been in SC squaring away his new place and just got back home to NY last night.
He'll be around, fer sure... Cranky as ever[B)]

Tanks Bob! I LOVE this place, so it's a LOT easier to be un-cranky here. [^] You know me for a while now and know that I can get if I feel like somebody's stepping on the soft, elastic tissue that's normally suspended from a fella. I do have to say that I have never, ever had that feeling here, just like heaven to me! I feel sooooo much better since I decided to leave the bull poop to the bull poop experts! (LMAO)

Sonny, being from Ontario just above Buffalo and being a retired 56 years old, I also question why I stay where I am. SC sounds fine to me. Able to drive the Hawk year round and golf year round and close to surf and seafood! What's the downside? I would be interested conversing with you about the move and how it may work for an old Canadian fart!

Shoot, Sonny! Sounds like you could start a relocation consultant service in SC[:0] (I say this 'cause I'm thinking of leaving California when the time's right. Consequently, I asked Sonny for particulars on what he bought and what it cost.)

                        You'd love it Sbob....
Walk out onto his covered porch and it's only about a hindred yards down the wooded path to a well hidden 3/4 acre pond.. Iff'n Sonny would have had a lawn chair there, I would've parked my butt there for a few hours

Having spent 14 years in Georgia, I do miss the fishing out here. What fresh-water fishing there is here is the reason I quit doing it about 15 years ago. Having hooked a couple of lunkers in Georgia over the years, spoiled the "thrill" of catching little pan-sized trout here.
Another thrill of Georgia was standing as still as I could while a copperhead slithered across the top of my boots as I stood fishing at the edge of a crik![:0]
BTW, I always went to my favorite fishing spots via Stude Champ truck. That damned 8E12 with 5-speed and the TT rear - wearing mud'n snow rubbers - was unstickable![}]

I'd be glad to do it for free for any Studebaker family! In fact, I'm damn glad that YOU are considering a move there! I just know that you'd love the place too. There's a LOT of agriculture type properties in the area, still has those nice little towns too. Columbia is a huge modern city, but a fella should expect a slooow, southern, country life style. Nobody is real fancy, but everyone that I met was real friendly and helpful.

                              Sonny,

Good to hear that you have finally gotten moved!!

Remember, the North Carolina Chapter has our big Tri-State Meet in Asheville NC in a few weeks (Sept 9, 10, and 11). Only about 150 miles from Columbia. Go here for info: http://www.ncsdc.com/MeetAnnouncemen...TriState05.htm

This is our 'BIG' meet of the year for NC, and attended by folks from about 8 to 10 different states. You will enjoy it.

                              Hope you can make it!!
