are there any fixes for my R2 tach.that's stuck on 1500 rpm's?
i heard that it's possible to free it up by air pressure applied
where the bulb is. anyone try this or are there other remedies?
    thanks, JNP

Don't do it, air will damage the works. It can be taken out of the case and lubed, but it's not a job for the faint hearted.

Check in Hemmings Motor News under Services Offered,,, guage or tach repair. Make sure they "know" Stewart-Warner instruments. As JP said, they are tricky to work on. If you don't have the right tool to remove and install the bezel, the whole guage can be worthless. aaThey have all the lubes and test equip. as well as being able to refinish the face if nessessary. It may cost more, but in the long run it's worth it.
      Hope this helps.
