Is there any marking on the car which would tell me what the original paint color is? I seen a paint chip paper on EBay today for 51 and 52 and it only showed four colors for 51, is the possible? It seems to be light green right now and I think it's the original paint, but am not sure. Even then in order to match it, I would need to know the color name or number. Nothing in the books I have on paint.

If there's a paper tag glued to the underside of the glovebox it will tell the original color. Find chip sheet for 51 Studebaker at www.autocolorlibrary.com
You can get the build sheet for your car from the Studebaker National Museum. It will tell you the original color.
