  • Placement of 64 Hawk R2 Fender emblems

I am looking for measurements to accurately place the fender emblems on my hawk. I will have to drill two holes into the fender. My intention will be to place masking tape on the fender and mark cross hairs on the tape, then drill the two 1/8" holes. If someone has a picture to post of a factory R2 fender it would be really helpful.

Allen, when I bought my 64 R1 Hawk in 1973, It still had one of its emblems(driver's side). The other side had a big hole in the fender instead of the badge.

The badges were centered directly below the vent openings. The top center of the emblem retainer ring is .75 inches below the bottom of the indent for the vent seal.

Come over and look at my R-1 64 GT...I believe the emblems are in the same place for both R-1 & R-2..

            Thanks Dan and Barry,

Barry, I really was not thinking when I posted this topic. I should have just made a phone call and asked you!

When I searched the topic in the forum, nothing came up. The information will be useful to the next guy building a R1 or R2 clone
