    Did all passenger cars from '57 on up take the same take the same front and rear shocks?- '57 Silver Hawk

    Almost but not quite. Front shocks are all the same, rear shocks changed in '63. For part numbers see my web site (below) look at the spreadsheet. if you don't have a spreadsheet program post back and I will try to convert the pertinent worksheet to a HTML table. (it's a work in progress; if I converted it to a table every time I changed something it'd never get updated.)

      I wasn't able to access that. One of our vendors who sells them doesn't mention the difference.

        hope this helps

        I suspect, but have no confirmation, that you could use 57-up front shocks on an early car just by removing the brackets on the A-arms. I haven't tried it, so I don't know for sure.
