  • Front Vs. Rear Bumper 1965 Cruiser

Hey, what are the differences between the front and rear bumpers on my 65 Cruiser? The part numbers in the body catalog are different (1560772W and 1560774W), but the ONLY difference I can see is that there's two additional holes on the rear bumper where the license plate mounts.

Is there something else I'm missing? I have one crunched front bumper I'd like to get rechromed then replace my rear bumper (which has some weak chrome). I just didn't want to run around without a bumper while it was being plated.

on the early LARK's they are the same with the addition of the extra holes you mention, I don't know about later LARK's, they look the same front and back?

The extra holes on the rear bumper are for the liscence plate light wires. I put a rear bumper on the front of my 64 Cruiser. I used the brackets off the front one. I just moved the guards in to cover the holes.[8D]

Yup, they look identical except for the holes.
