  • spark plug?

    1955 president v-8 with a '63 flow through block has Champion H18Y plugs. What is the proper plug, any heat range recomendations?

    For a V (259) or P (289) code engine; Champion H-14Y (not for an R or JT series engine).

      Thanks, the local Auto Zone man said H14Y was not avaliable.

        He was too lazy to look it up for you. Otherwise, he'd have seen that Champion's new replacement is # 91.

              I had to order my plugs from CarQuest,at least they took the time[about 45 seconds]to look them up.As I've said before,when you get those dumb stares from behind the counter,find a different store!

                In the past,I believe Bob Palma has recommended H-18-Y---??.Are you on here Mr Palma??? different heat range?
