Does anyone have the max allowable amount I can turn my brake drums?
Vehicle is 60 lark, 10x2 rears. I'm stuck @ work without a shop manual and my buddy is turning the wheels on his lathe today.
    Thanks[^]

.060 on Stude car drums. .100 on half ton truck drums.

Dang, thats a lot a cutting on a truck drum.
The late model stuff, if you can turn them(some are made from a composite read GM they usually warp soon after).

Yeah, I had a local shop challenge me on some truck drums that had been turned out to 80. They quieted down when I showed them the shop manual.
