I have a 1941 studebaker champion 4dr, I have been trying to keep the apperance stock by using a stock coil, I have been standed many times because these nos coils I have been buying from swap meets they are no good. I recently bought a new 6volt coil from a auto store that has both terminals on it's top and had to run a new wire to the little derby at the end of theigntion wire making it look like it has been wired diffrent from original, question,[?] does anyone sell new coils with the configuration of the old ones, that is with the teminal on the bottom and one on top. I took the old coil apart and found it to be soild inside is his correct?
