Hi, I'm new to the studebaker game, and am in the process of buying a 50 LC. Are most parts interchangeble with the Commander. What are the pros & cons of the LC. Are parts readily available. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, OkieBob

The LC is bascially a Commander w/longer wheelbase, notice it has "wing windows" in the rear doors, a comm. 4dr. does not. These are great road cars, a plusher variety of the Commander! The drive train parts interchange, parts are available thru vendors such as Stude. International.

I drove one from 1956 through 1959, I wish I still had it. It got 18 mpg and rode like a caddy, only lower.

Thanks for the info guys. I looked at a 51 Champion today, pretty nice car for $7500. The man that has the Landcruiser passed away in the middle of the auction on e-bay, so now the car is in probate. I thind I'll wait on the LC, so there will probably be lots of questions for you all. Please no snide remarks on the Orange Bowl. Later OkieBob
