  • Phantom Auto Works suspension upgrade

I see Phantom Auto Works is marketing a suspension upgrade kit for 1951 and newer Studebaker passenger cars. It looks like Mustang II componentry. I would be interested in hearing any comments concerning this upgrade.

That's a pretty good question Gary. I know Pat Drnec bought one and was gonna let us know how it went, but I don't think it ever got done. I'm pretty sure that they'll be at Reedsville, PA with it, so we can look it over close there. I'm especially interested in how the rack is mounted to the frame. It looks like it's attached to the upper control arm mount. Reedsville is next weekend, so if somebody doesn't have an answer, I can at least tell you a little more about it after I look at it.

Sounds good Sonny. I won' be at Reedsville, so if you can get some digital photos, I'd appreciate it. Thanks.

        Hey Gary!

I didn't forget ya. Sorry to say that the Phantom folks didn't show up at Reedsville! Yep, we still have to guess what the setup looks like and how it works. Drats.....
