I have a 62 gt hawk that has a rough idle. It`s only been doing it for about 2weeks. I do notice that when I leave for work there looks like carbon deposits on the ground behind her. any suggestions on whats up, since this is my daily driver I want to keep her running in tip top condition. thanks[8D]

It might only be something like time for a tune up?! But things you can check, choke operation, (might be the spring is getting weak), vacuum leaks, (in particular, the carb throttle shaft is worn), which will mess up your low idle carb settings, dirt, gunk or wear in the carb. needle and seat, and/or have you changed brands of gas? I'd eliminate all that stuff first then go from there.
