How do you remove the crome trime around the widesheild without bending it all to crap and once you take it out can you reuse the rubber seal?If you can't where would be a good place to get one and about how much would it cost? Thanks

What model are you working with?

If 1953 and later, the trim stays in the rubber. The entire assembly, seal, trim and glass, gets pushed out of the opening. If it's original, the rubber will be too brittle to reuse. Use a craft knife to cut the lip on the inside of the car then push the windshield out.
New rubber is available from several of the Studebaker vendors.
Follow instructions in your Shop Manual (also available from vendors) to re-install.

You remove the whole windshield with the trim left in the rubber.
By the same token, you install the trim into the rubber right after you put the rubber on the glass, but BEFORE you install the windshield.
You will destroy the stainless trying to pull it off the car with the glass in place.
Chances are the old rubber will not be worth saving, and will make re-installation of the windshield problematic.
