what's the recommended oil for a dana 44 with twin trac, it's in a 63 gt if that makes any difference. Also, one of the tags bolted to the differential reads "45B", what does that tell me?

I've been using the Red Line synthetic in my TT. It eliminated the chatter I would get after some highway driving.

I have hundreds of thousand miles on various TT units with regular Hypoid 90W and GM posi additive..

I may be wrong here but I think the "45B" tells you what set of clutches are in the twin traction. If I recall, the parts manual lists something like 3 different sets of clutches.

          FYI

The builder that installed my posi setup in the Dana 44 who builds for a lot of racers in the area said to use 80-90 Hypoid (name brand) and the GM addtive for the street.

That's what I put in this morning.
