Bypass booster, and change pedal to one with more mechanical advantage. That's pretty much it.

You also need the actuator rod from the standard pedal to the Master cylinder. The PB rod is too long.

'55 President can be driven without power brakes, it just takes more push to stop the car. I've made some panic stops, haven't slid the wheels yet, but probably could. Yes, it originally had power brakes, I removed the Hydrovac unit, plumbed without it. You just gotta apply more foot power.
