  • '54 k body headliner removal

I am wondering how one goes about taking the headliner loose without tearing the fabric. My fabric is fine but I need to check the underside of the roof for rust, etc. after the car has sat for 30 years.

I removed mine from the rear forward. After removing all trim screws and interior lamp it came off farely easy. Must admit I was totally shocked by the mice nest and droppings inside of it since there were no tears to begin with.

Thanks for the help. So does it just snap in along the side edges? I see that it is stapled in on the front and rear.
