  • Auto choke

I just finished rebuilding my 50 Studebaker Champion engine. Now the auto choke doesn't work. It did before rebuild but not very well. Is there a passage in the carb that draws the exhaust into the choke cap? Or is drawn there because of the clearance in the choke rod? I put a paper type filter on it now which reduces the draw pressure drop in the filter. Could that affect choke operation? It does run great but either I fix this auto choke or it gets a choke wire. Thanks,
Working...
