  • 52 front brake parts?

I went to look at the brakes on my "new" to me stude
and found that someone had gutted all the hardware
i have new pads that came with the car
and i'm going to rebuild the wheel cylinders
but what are the other parts i need?
I'd like to upgrade to discs, but i dont have the money right now to drop on the brackets

With the hardware missing, It might be a good time to
upgrade to the 54 up frt brakes. These fit the 53, and
I believe the 52 also. If you could find these parts
cheap, it would give you bigger brakes. I am sure someone
on here can tell you if this works, and someone close to
    you might have the parts.

What he said. Either that or just bite the bullet and convert to a Turner kit. Either way, you'll have better brakes than the original '52 stuff - and it *is* a straight bolt on. You can keep your original spindles.

ya i've been looking at the kits i just dont have the cash
I have new pads already just missing some of the hardware

The upgrade is on the list, but first i'd like to drive this car, before i start spending, or i'll have lots of parts and never a working car

I'm pretty sure SI, and other vendors, have all the hardware necessary.
I assume you don't have the Chassis Parts Catalog or Shop Manual?

Hard to tell you what you need when we don't know what you haven't got.

Check page 232 of the SI catalog.

If you can put together a list I have them off of my 52 Hard top that I don't plan to use.
We'll see if we can work something out.

The parts will work as long as the 52 hardtop is a Commander. If not, I have Comm parts cars here.
