My 1957 Packard Clipper has a rip in the bottom. I am looking for a new tank. Should be the same as a President model? If I can't find one I guess I could weld the old one but it may not look so hot.

1957 Packard Clipper Fuel Tank Wanted

I couldn't find one for my '57 Clipper wagon when looking a couple of years ago. I ended up using one for a '62 wagon. It was the same except for one mounting hole and the '62 has an outlet tube on the lower passenger side that the '57 doesn't have, since the '57 draws through the sending unit. I got mine from SASCO, so maybe now SI has some.

Makes sense. Does the wagon have a shallower tank for the same reason, the location of the spare tire?

To answer your original question, according to the parts book, all sedans had the same tank.

I can have a look at my parts car to see if it's tank is still there, but didn't the '57 Packards have a fuel return line due to the blower being installed [?] [?] [?]
Just thinkin' out loud...

There is an extra line between the fuel pump and the pressure box. Is that what you are referring to?

I do have a Packard Town Sedan parts car here, and will check to see if it's tank is there, and what shape it's in- if you'd like me too. This think has been picked over pretty good, so no promisses...

I think that '55-57 should be the same, but don't hold me to that. I'm pretty sure they are for C-Ks. 58-up is likely different for both.
