  • HOT WIRING MY 1950 COMMANDER

Hi...I have pulled the cluster gauge from my commander to have it repaired and wont have it back for another 3 weeks...I need to move the car from my garage, so my question is how do I" hot wire" to start the car to move it ?...I know i have to plug the oil pressure line or I will have oil everywhere but how do i go about BY-PASSING that cluster of gauges which containes the fuel, temp, ammeter and oil pressure gauges ?...John

jumper from battery negative to coil power side. Get starter to spin over.

Take the wires that went to the ammeter, on both sides.
Put a small bolt thru them (all) and put a nut on it and
tighten it down. TAPE IT UPas well as taping other exposed wire ends. Be sure the battery is disconnected
before you start. Reconnect battery and do--it!
