The ones on GT Hawks did, so you could probably "fix" that using all Studebaker parts...

This is an area that I think you can have a little fun, exercise a little "creative license" and not get penalized in shows. With the advent of "Led's" you should be able to light these things up and the car would have to be picked apart to notice it. When I was restoring my '48, I replaced the tiny parking light socket with a larger double element bulb socket. In addition to park lights, they function as front turn signals. I then ran a fiber optic line from those bulbs to the little amber jewels in the decorative fender spears and they blink with the turn signals.

Not much space between the plastic and the fender. Plus, the plastic has paint on the bottom (unless it's very old and tired). So you'd need to have a very small "light" plus scrape the paint off the bottom of the plastic, at least a little, to let the light thru.
The acessory page says, "...floresces a golden glint..." I'm thinking you'd lose that "golden glint" if you scrap off the paint. But I like the idea of the light. Just never done it.
Let us know.

John's fiber optic line would be the simplest, least invasive route. Simply drill a small entry through the bottom of the plastic; no damage to the painted surface of the plastic, no wires to run and no bulbs or sockets required. It would probably not be as bright as using bulbs but, bright lights on the top of the fenders can be distracting for night driving; better to be subtle.Brad Johnson,
