    The Hurst shifter handles I've bought in the past come with bushings for various sizes. The one on my 62 Daytona fit the stock shifter handle.

      My Avanti has a Hurst Competition Plus shifter with a stock looking Avanti shift rod. The ball is plastic threaded with no insert so it could potentially strip.
