    i have a 1954 - 232ci i plan on putting on a set of 1963 289 ci heads intake and exhaust manifolds is this a direct swap or do mods have to be done to block are 232 pushrods ok or do i have to use others are there any other issues to consider one other thing i like to find out are later model distriuers compatible with the 53 & 54 232ci blocks thanks for any info - alf

    If you use the 232 rockers, you can use the 232 push rods.

      Only with R3 intake valves.

        I don't know anything about swapping heads, but I though the larger valves on the 259-289 heads necessitates notching the cylinder block a bit so they clear the block. Is that true or is that something I must have dreamed?
