What has been used to seal where the heat tube goes throgh the bottom of the pressure box on a McCulloch supercharger? Thanks

On my 63 Avanti under the pressure box were the heat tube goes threw i used a high temp
silicone rtv its red or orange in color.I have a Paxton s/c

The choke heat tube had a tapired spring pressing on a metal cup washer with a rubber washer seal. When assembeled to the choke housing the spring exerted pressure to the heat stove.
