.....and don't forget that a new w/seal will leak if you don't apply with a very liberal amount of sealant....

This has been my experience as well. I recently instaled a headliner in my 58 and there was about an inch of rubber seal that was maliable enough to tuck the headliner material under. Combined with some adhesive it looks great and is holding fine!

But, removing the glass is definitely a good way to go and I'm pretty sure thats how they were installed at the factory. Only trouble is, pulling the glass turns a $300 headliner job into a $1000 headliner job.

Not sure about Larks, but I was also told my windshield and
rear window on my Hawk had to be removed to install a headliner.
Not true. A upholstery shop did mine by gluing the material
at the front and back and tucking it under the rubber seals.

Assuming that the 60 is like my 64, the front and back glass must be removed. Therefor, you may likely need new rubber seals being that the exterior rubber gets dry and hard with age. As far as bow placement, I can't help you as I didnt even know they were color coded. The easiest thing to do is purchase some carpet adhesive and adhere some disco era shag carpeting to the ceiling

I need to have a headliner put in my 60 Lark 2dr sedan. When I got the car the headliner had been cut out and destroyed. I do have the bows, they are color coded and not numbered. Do any of you know the correct sequcnce for the bows? Also, does the windshield and back glass have to come out for the headliner to be installed? Thanks for your help.
