  • Help in determining PN 1551930 applicaton

I have a turn signal wiring assembly (the part inside the column), which I cannot identify. My latest parts manual covers only thru model year 1958. The PN is 1551930. Can anyone tell me what the application of this wiring assembly is. Thanks in advance.

    1961-1964 Type "C".. all cars.
This is the type with the plastic canceler.I think this type was the most common.
I know all the Hawks ('61-64)used it..

      Ray/Studeman:

Thx, for the quick response. The PN you identifed for me, is part of a column "bell", which I believe is for a "floor shift" column. I've not been able to identify the "bell", to ensure that it is for a no shifter column. Any idea what the PN may be for the "bell" itself?
      Thx, in advance.

If you are talking about the pot-metal bell-shaped shift collar that sits below the collar that has the turn signals..
It's called "HOUSING, upper, jacket trim" located in the chassis book.

1553047P is the collar for floor-shift, 4-speeds, and Powershift-equipped cars. (OH... and 3-speed floor-shift equipped Taxis)

It's real easy to identify... there's nowhere for the shift-handle to go... just smooth all around..
