Can a 1959 complete 2dr wagon body,be swapped over to a 1966 wagon frame and running gear. Without doing a lot of mods.

Ok, they look to be the same wheel bases, so they should be almost the same. But, I belive the 66 frame will also have a X member in it, like the convertables, I don't know if that would case a problem or not. I'm sure someone else will chime in that has more experiance in this though.

What engine are you going with from a 66? If its a 6 cylinder you may have some clearance issues with the radiator. On the 65 & 66 Studes the radiator support was slightly forward with a "cutout" section in the upper radiator panel. Other than that, you should be fine.

The original 1966 v-8 more than likely upgraded to a 301ci. It was a sliding roof body, so i guess that means it would have the x-member and the flight-omatic. But i see no reason why that couldn't be modified to take a turbo-4hundredquote:Originally posted by Warren Webb
