  • '55 President Neutral Safety/Backup Light Switch

Anyone know if a 1951-52 Neutral Safety/Starter Cutout/Backup light switch will function on the '55? Both appear to have 4 terminals.

The 51-52 switch carries a different part number. The 53-54 switch is the same tho - and there's TWO switches associated with the Automatic Drive cars of 53 thru 55 (and 56 Champions) One's for cars WITH PS and one's for cars WITHOUT PS.

.....and I think that has more to do with fit than function. The switch attaches to the mast jacket, and the '51-'52 cars used that big oversize jacket.
