    stuck rusted starter wont turn. whats the remedy?[^]

    Take it apart...Use a lot of compressed air and a face shield.

      I had a 62 Lark that had a similar problem after storing it for the winter. A mouse had gotten into the bell housing thru the little inspection hole on the top. This stuff had gathered in the starter, acorns, etc etc. I pulled the starter and cleaned it. I had to do the same thing a couple times till all the junk,including d-con, got out of the bell housing. I took it out, used air to clean the junk, and used wd40 to lubricate the starter drive, before I put it in I would run the gear backward and forward by hand to help remove the crud.

        You didn't say what kind of car you have, but if it is a Lark with the grill n front of the windshield, there is a drain hose on the firewall. If this hose fails,then water drains directly into the bellhousing. I had a 62 Lark that sat so long that the bellhousing filled up with rain water and ruined the clutch and starter. NT

            To add to my former post and to answer the original question. The way I fixed mine was to rob the starter off Matthew's car. NT
