  • Is there steel rivets out there?

I just replaced the rubber on the rear windows, but had to drill out the orignal steel rivets, should I just use the alumminum pop rivets that I just fit in the holes ,or is there something stronger out there? 55 president c body (Airplane ????)

Use stainless or steel. Don't use aluminum as corrosion will occur at the alum steel body interface.

Go to McMaster-Carr website and you can find any type of rivet you want.

For most common pop rivets go to Ace Hardware, that's where I get my steel and Aluminum. For the others, Mcmaster-Carr.

I've tried McMaster-Carr and Grainger; just can't find the correct chrome tops.
