  • 1963 Lark tail / backup lamp seals

Looking at the shop manual, the illustrations show seals for the taillights and backup lights that sit behind the lamp-to-body gaskets. In the illustrations below, they're called out as Group #s 0619-10-1 and 0632-5, respectively.

But in the parts listing, there are no corresponding listings for these parts for 1963 F, W or Y-bodies.

Does anyone know: were these something the factory actually used, or did the lamp gaskets do dual duty, and they just didn't bother to mod the illustrations [?]

Yes they were used. Not sure why there is none listed for a '63 but for the back up lamp which is similar to the '62 try 1342627 SEALER, lamp to body-- W-Y-F-J-L 62S,62V page 205. The tail lamp is more of a mystery, there is a seperate listing for62D and 62P but none for F,W,Y,J,L. I'd Try using a foamy that goes around the window regulator shaft or door remote on the back side of the door panel, or just strip caulk

Thanks Jon, I thought that the illustration of the backup light seal looked the same in the illustration. I guess I can make my own for the taillight, unless anyone knows a part number?
