I've probably got a used reflector around here, if you want it. I'd have to "dig" a bit.[:I]

Why not make it a 'blue dot' reflector. Remember those blue dots of the past?[?]

They do help. If you don't want to go to the trouble of finding one, use an appropriate size disc (like a slug from an electrical box) and attach a piece of white conspicuity tape, the kind that's used on the sides and rears of big trucks. That stuff's more reflective than the original button and no one will ever see the difference.

I don't have a parts book that early, but I am guessing that what you are missing is a little plastic retroreflector that fits behind the lens; that's the little reflector that lets people see your car when it's parked on the street at night.

    started a topic C-K taillight

    C-K taillight

While having the lens removed from the taillight I noticed a three pronged clip holding nothing . The lens seems to have a ciruclar pattern at that location. the parts manual indicates a "Button" #289886. Are these around and do they help at all?
Small item but thought I would ask
