dash and floor starter switch in one car

I have a '52 Commander and it has both a dash and floor starter switch was this standard issue ??,,,,,,,,,,Brad

Is it an automatic or manual transmission? On the early automatics the switch moved to the dash prior to the key start being introduced (I think in 1955). Of course, if it is an automatic then there is not a clutch pedal to depress it. [:0]

My 48 Champion has both but I believe the one on the dash was added by a previous owner.

1952 standard transmission would have the starter button under the clutch pedal.
As Gary indicated, a dash switch could have been added but would need to be wired like a three-way for both or either to work. Do both actuate the starter individually?

Yes both actuate and well. It looks factory in the dash.........Brad
