If you want to sit low, then a Camaro seat works well. I now have Acura seats, but I don't like the fact that I sit so high in the car. I will switch back to Camaro. I like the 80s Camaro buckets the best.

If you don't have that kind of money, there are a number of seats in the salvage yards that will work. Maybe someone can post some pictures and make specific suggestions.

Try Procar...they make a number of styles of bucket seats and have adapters to fit them for many, many cars, including Avanti's. They should be able to fix you up even if they don't list a '55.
