  • Stromberg T1 - carb, parts, info, substitute..Help

I have a '27 Studebaker Dictator and the Stromberg T1 pot metal carb is all but dead. Its been patched so many times it leaks like a sieve.

I am looking for any info on finding a replacement, a substitute part, a way to fix or rebuild the pot metal part. I have a brass carb from a '25 that I am trying to use as a substitute but would appreciate any information or pointers. This car really needs to get back on the road

I did search the site and didn't find anything that was particularly relevant.

    Thanks,
    Michael

Your question should be posted on the Antique studebaker Forum.
The T1 was one of the first pot metal experiments in carburators.
Bill Cannon did an article on these in the "Antique Studebaker Review

      rkapteyn,

Thanks for the redirect, I actually did review that site and found it to be almost completely a "work in progress" and was not able to find anything other than headings and "coming soon" links. If you have a direct link to that information I would greatly appreciate it.
