fuel pump oil leak

What you likely have is a rebuilt fuel pump with the pivot pin for the pump lever leaking oil. A/C offered a little kit to cure this by giving a shorter pivot pin with two tiny brass inserts and a special tool to use to press the inserts in on both sides to seal up the holes. I think I have one of the kits somewhere in the "Man Cave." If I can locate it in a couple of days, I will post the part number.

fuel pump oil leak
289 engine, appears to be leaking oil out of the side of the fuel pump. Is that possible? Thought the front engine seal was bad, however the bottom of the fuel pump always has fresh oil on it. It is not leaking where it bolts to the block.Tags: None
