  • Lark R2 Lower Pulley Spacer

Work continues on assemblying the R2 engine for my factory R2 Lark. Can someone tell me if there is a spacer between the harmonic balancer and the blower pulley? The car does NOT have power steering. If so, any idea how thick the spacer is?[?]

Thanks to the forum for helping me with my previous (and future) questions!

Eric, you need to use spacer p/n 1555896 to maintain alignment between the pulleys in a non P/S installation. I don't have a thickness measurement off hand but I'll repost when I can come up with one

Thanks Andy - Since I doubt I will be able to find the correct spacer, I will need to make one. If you, or someone else has the measurements on this, it would be most helpful!

      Thanks

        Here are some measurements for you. ID = 1 1/2", OD = 3 5/8", bolt circle = 2 3/4", bolt holes = 11/32". Thickness is 16 ga./ 0.0598".

          Andy,

          Thank You

Based on what you provided, it looks like I need a .0598" spacer!

          This helps so much!

Or, just take a power steering pulley and cut the belt groove off - there's your spacer.
