  • Bolt patterns for wheels on a 3/4 ton truck

I just got 2 wheels and new-ish bias ply tires.(most likely old tires that have been sitting for a while in a garage) The rims look darn near new.

I trying to see if they will fit a stude truck. They are 6 bolt 16" not sure of size for the bolt pattern or hub hole as yet.

What would the right size be?

    Thanks guys!

Stude 1/2 ton trucks were 5 x5 bolt pattern and the 3/4 ton trucks were an 8 bolt pattern (C-Cab and T-Cab models). The only trucks I have seen 16" x 6 bolt wheels on were 1 ton models, but that is an unusual size as most 1 tonners have 17" or 17.5" wheels (some even have 19" wheels).

Bolt pattern for Stude 1tons with six lug are the Budd 16 x 5.5 F or Kelsey-Hayes 16 x 6.50 H with 7 1/4 inch bolt circle with 5 9/16th pilot hole for the Budd and 5 11/16 for the Kelsey Hays.
3/4 ton trucks prior to 1955 used similiar wheels .
After 1955 the eight lug wheel became more common but the "Budd" style wheel was still optional. For 1963-64 E13's(the 1 tons) there were one standard wheel and six optional wheels up to 19.5 x 5.25 tubeless tire rim.
My 5E13 and the parts truck axles I got with it are 16 x6 , six lug.

Edsel, if those are non-split Rim (one piece) they are extremely hard to find, my 7E-13 needs seven of them!

I thought my great big huge 49 that I used to have had Five lug huge pattern. It had rear duals and a two speed axle.

Well I looked at the tire size as I was leaving the house today they are 16 x 6.50 H On the tires. They Might be the Kelsey-Hayes I'll measure them when I get home and Post a pic and Measurements.

If they are, what would be a fair price? Also who needs them?

Here is the link for the pictures.
Now Did I measure these right?

                    Lug holes are 4 1/2
                    HUb is 3 1/2" or 3 5/8"
                    Rim is 16 "
                    Tire size is 6.50-16

                    Does this help?

Some GM trucks used a 5 lug pattern but to me those wheels do look pretty GM-ish. Some years the lug pattern was different between 2WD and 4WD (why? who knows.)

Well If that is the consensus. They are GM Rims.

Well I'll sell them as such.
