  • Rear Glass Halo

Mine had like a colored caulk between the front edge and the roof- is that normal?

Also, should I expect to get this perfectly straight? I'm fixing a clip damage spot and now I see various other waves on this piece

water seal we goobered the holes on ours don't want water to get in on your headliner. We put painters tape on the car with an arrow for the holes and clips to line up. Was a bugger. If you press on a spot with no clip you put a dent then back off it comes. So we marked the Halo and the car so we connected the dots. Hope this helps still very fresh in thy mind.

      Thanks, Anne! Good tip!

One more question- the painter has been taking forever, and I want to be very organized when I get the car back in order to be driving by International Drive Your Studebaker Day.

Does the halo go on in conjunction with the rear glass, or can it be installed beforehand?

        Mike,
I am planning on going to Wellington on the Fourth of July for their show. Hopefully you can make it also! I can't wait to see your car! I am headed to Canon City this Saturday. I hope to see a bunch of Studes!

Carey- I was thinking of you while working on my halo- not a repair to be taken lightly!

I'll have to see how long it takes to get everything back together1

The Halo goes on after the rear glass goes in.

              Mike,
That is one that I think will be waiting a long time before I tackle it!

Anne- while this is still fresh in your mind....
It seems like you would have to stretch out the headliner, clamp it to the front glass opening, glue it to the rear opening, install the back glass, let down the headliner from the front, while still attached at the rear, then install the halo, then the windlace and reinstall the headliner.
                Does that sound right[?]
