  • 51 Stude Champion Air Cleaner Ebay

I am looking for an Air Cleaner for the 51 Champ Six with Carter carb. My parts book is for 1951-1952. There is a Air Cleaner on Ebay right now which came off a 47 Studebaker M series truck, see URL below. Can someone tell me if this is the part I need as show below[?]

You might be able to get the seller to give you the height on his air cleaner. From the Picture it looks about the same height as the one on my 48 Champion. You just need to make sure it is not going to hit your hood.

      That's the same one that's on my uncle's '51 Champion coupe. [8D]

The picture might be deceving but I don't think the 51 is that tall. I have an extra in the barn plus extra filter canster. I'll measure it tomorrow.

Well, I am holding out before purchasing the Air Cleaner on Ebay for more info. The more I look at the picture in my Chassis Parts Catalog (April, 1952) the more it does not look like the one on Ebay. I really want to be exact on the application, so most likely will pass now and hope for better luck later on. Thanks for the help everyone has provided.

By the way, I finally got around to joining the SDC this morning. Did it on the WEB site, was really easy.

          Regards,
          Jerry

Maybe Studebaker vendors would be a better place for you to look[?]
