  • Kemco Octane Improver?

Wondering if anyone is familiar with Kemco Octane Supreme 130. I've seen it discussed on non-Stude forums and it sounds like the "real deal" but I always suspect that over the counter additives are more snake oil than anything else. Website is kemcooil"dot"com.

Aside from racing fuel or avgas, the best thing I've seen in Atlanta is 93 octane. IIRC, the calculation method has changed, so today's 93 octane translates to the 95 range on the old scale, with 100 being the optimum. Not looking to race, but would like to maximize the Avanti's performance when the blower kicks in. Thanks as always...

Wonder how they get away with 60 grams of tetraethyl lead per 12ox bottle? Thought it was illegal and and also very poisonous to handle in guantities concentrated enough to improve a tankful of gasoline.

Has anyone tried it? Am serously considering investing in two cases. My R1 pings like a poltergiest.

      thnx, jv.
