I have a 64 Daytona convertible with a 289 in it. I have just purchased a pertronix kit for the distributor. Will I have problem with clearance on the wiper motor when trying to remove the distributor? It looks like the motor could be in the way and that I may have to move it? I have the Delco window distribotor What say you? Thanks John

I don't think so, I put a delco window in my 64 daytona and I got it in there without taking anything else off.

It will be tight with the Delco Window Dist. but with the Cap and Rotor removed it WILL come out. If not, you need to check the Front and Rear Engine Mounts if they are shot or loose the engine could have slipped back.

The distributor should come out of the block with no problems. You'll have to wiggle it around a bit though because of the long oil pump drive shaft. Bud

Depending on where to live, you might think about sending you dist. to Bud in the LA area. he has a Sun Dist. machine and KNOWS how to use it.
