Anyone have a vacuum modulator ("throttle valve solenoid") laying around? I need one for a '58 Transtar, V8 automatic. This setup takes the place of the throttle kickdown linkage.

Are there any old Ford, AMC, etc. trannies that use these? If so which ones?

Matt you would have to fine tune this info but approx. '57 to '62 Ford-O-Matics used these, try some Ford sites. If you find some, other Truck owners I am sure would like to know the source! [^]

Sasco only has the 6 cly. one for $140.50
    You need a Studebaker # 1690850

Thanks Rich, I'll see what I can find.

That's the same Stude number I have. Cool deal.

          Hey Jim.

Like Rich said, the Stude number is 1690850.

I've found a couple of AMC and Ford part numbers, but I won't post them as I'm not sure they'd work.
