    the hood on a Silver Hawk is not the same shape as a Golden Hawk - it's the same stamping but the GH has a fiberglass overlay and a hole cut in the steel to provide clearance for the blower. Now a GT Hawk uses the same shape hood as a Silver Hawk (not exactly, but close enough in the area we're looking at) so a GT Hawk blower setup could theoretically be retrofitted to a Silver Hawk without cutting the hood. They look pretty similar but the GT setup uses a special water manifold (and of course the late style two bolt water neck,) while the Golden Hawk uses a stock early (4-bolt water neck) water manifold and routes the water through the blower bracket.

      Thanks, N8N. That's some precise info, just like I like. Jery, I'll post some pics of my water manifold and modified thermostat housing and fan shroud.
