C-Cab Door Visor ?

Does anyone know if the door visors used on late 50's C-Cab trucks were made of pot metal or sheet metal (looks like pot metal to me)?
Reason I am asking is that one of mine has a 3/4" split in the metal [B)] and I need to know whether it's worth trying to get repaired or if I should just find a replacement. Thanks.

All of the painted ones I've seen are pot metal. I've only seen one set of the chrome ones, and it was stainless.
