  • 57 GH shift lever question

My 57 GH is a 3-speed. The shifter lever has a large knob attached to it. I got a stock knob, but when I removed the large one, I noticed that the threaded portion of the shift lever has been cut off. It appears that the shift lever is held in place with a pin.

Is it a bid deal to replace the lever, or is it just a matter of removing the pin and relacing the lever?

Does anyone have a lever that they want to sell?

New levers are available, also you will want to replace the rubber Grommet it goes through. That will allow you to grease up the tip of the lever that goes into the shift tube while it is out, it is a forgotten "wear point."
