Not tried it or any synthetic, but if you're going to try AMSOIL syn oil in an older trans, it will probably leak like the whole thing was made of swiss cheese...

Valvoline has re-introduced the proper fluid for FOM and most Borg-Warner units, Type "F", you need to ask for it if it's not on your Parts Store shelf.
Sales, should keep it in production for at least a little while. [:0]

I tried yesterday to order it from NAPA, and found it is not in their book, but CSK Corp. Stores have it. That's Checker, Schucks, Kragen and now O-Reilly.
Oh, sorry Matt, I guess it isn't CSK Corp. anymore, it's O'Reilly Corp.
