  • Wagonair Rear Step

Hi, I need to install the tailgate step on my wagonair. It never had one so--- how? the attachment swivels for the step have a bend on one end and does not sit flat on the tailgate. It appears that it should have a slot cut into the tailgate to accomadate the bend? I hope this is clear , I have pictures if needed.
    thanks for all the help.

I believe that the step equipped cars MAY have had a different inner tailgate panel. If you have the '59-'64 Studebaker Body Parts Catalog, a quick check of that part number would tell you if there were two.

I see you live in U.S.A.! Can you give us a little more descriptive location for the two cars for sale?

I have most of an instruction sheet for the step, though it's old and crumbled. You can probably read enough of it to get the idea and see the dimensions.
